Accuweigh’s new digital load cells and weighing indicators have been fully approved by Australia’s NMI for use in weighing applications requiring trade certification. The digital load cells are near identical to Accuweigh’s existing series of AccuCell analog load cells and can be used in all of Accuweigh’s existing weighbridge designs, including both concrete and steel deck weighbridges.
Unlike analog load cells which return a voltage signal to a weight indicator for processing into a digital weight readings, digital load cells are fitted with an integrated micro-processor to generate digital weight readings within the load cell. A fully digital weight indicator polls each load cell via the in-built RS-485 Communications to request its current weight reading which is then summed with the weight readings from other load cells in the system and then shown on the weight display.
Benefits of fully digital weighbridge systems include:
- Corner adjustments are less time consuming during initial weighbridge testing
- Calibrations are slightly more accurate
- Comprehensive self diagnostics which minimises fault finding requirements
- Highly resistant to weighing errors caused by strong EMF and wireless signals
Accuweigh’s analog and digital weighbridge load cells are manufactured in full stainless steel with hermetic sealing to IP68 for full waterproofing and strong corrosion resistance while the in-built lightning and surge protection protects against potential storm damage. Both load cell types are based on the self-restoring rocker pin design to allow the load cell to cope with the expansion and contraction of the weighbridge deck without incurring weighing errors.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest weighing company and also Australia’s supplier of weighbridges with literally hundreds of weighbridge installations completed through-out all states and the Asia Pacific. Accuweigh’s extensive industry experience is your guarantee when dealing with Australia’s most competent weighbridge supplier.
