Wheelchair scales were recently supplied to Yallambee Lodge Retirement Village by Accuweigh’s Newcastle branch. The wheelchair scales are to be used for regularly monitoring the weight of the village residents.
The wheelchair scale supplied was the Seca 952 model which has a weight capacity of 200kg by increments of 0.1kg for high accuracy weighings. This wheelchair scale features fold up armrests and footrests for easy patient access to the chair component of the wheelchair scales. Brakes are fitted to the smooth running castors making it very easy to manoeuvre and to park securely.
Fitted with internal batteries, the SECA 952 wheel chair scales can perform up to 4000 weighings before the standard alkaline batteries need replacing. Other functionality includes lb/kg switching and an auto-hold function which retains the patient weight on the display for later referral after the patient handling is completed.
The SECA 952 wheelchair scales are available from Accuweigh branches in all mainland states with trained technicians able to provide regular maintenance and calibration certifications to NATA standards.
