Stainless Steel Platform Scales were recently commissioned for the Colmslie branch of Hans Smallgoods for weighing bulk ingredients in their food processing room.
The Platform Scales are fully manufactured in Stainless Steel to eliminate corrosion caused by the daily high pressure hosing using hot water and aggressive detergents.
Accuweigh’s Geebung branch supplied the Stainless Steel Platform Scales in a drop centre design for its very low height profile which doesn’t require the Platform Scales to be installed in a pit. Stainless Steel access ramps are fitted at each end of the Platform Scales to allow staff to manoeuvre the heavily laden trolleys onto the weighing platform with minimal effort.
The Stainless Steel Platform Scales and ramps were supplied in a rough bead blasted finish to provide non-slip surfaces for staff moving the heavy trolleys. A digital weight indicator rated at IP69K was fitted to the Stainless Steel Platform Scales to eliminate potential damage to the sensitive weighing electronics caused by water ingress into the indicator. The IP69K rating allows this indicator to be hosed directly with hot water up to 1400psi due to its internal twin wall sealing compartments.
