SHIPPING CONTAINER SCALES ELIMINATE DOUBLE HANDLING FOR NSW FARMING OPERATION

Shipping Container Scales
Shipping Container Scales

Shipping Container Scales are being used for weighing container loads of grain and seed at Auscott’s Narrabri operation.

Weighing the shipping containers at the point of loading not only ensures optimum filling can be achieved but also eliminates double handling required to later weigh the loaded shipping containers to later attain transportation weights.

Supplied by Accuweigh’s Newcastle branch, the Shipping Container Scales are certified for Trade Use to allow the attained weights to calculate product invoices and for transportation charges. Manufactured by Accuweigh’s QWM branch in Brisbane, the Shipping Container Scales have a weighing capacity of 30 tonnes and are designed for weighing standard 20 foot shipping containers.

The heavy duty design of QWM’s shipping container scales includes a reinforced section covered by steel checker plate to allow for weighing of loaded pallets and other items. For strong resistance to corrosion when used in external environments, all steelwork of the shipping container scales is hot dipped galvanised to ensure durability.

The weighing frame is fully supported on four load cells manufactured in stainless steel with an IP68 waterproof rating. Longitudinal and lateral movement restraints and locking bolts are fitted to help prevent accidental load cell damage during operation and transportation.

Accuweigh has extensive experience in the supply of industrial scales and weighing equipment with full service and after sales support available through eight branches across mainland states.
