Michael Clarke from Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch recently supplied 18 x Salter mechanical scales to Mission Aviation to be used for positioning cargo on their small aircraft operating from PNG to ensure optimal weight distribution is achieved.
Each of the 18 Salter dial scales was individually tested by Brisbane service staff and supplied with a calibration certificate ensuring weighing accuracy is within the tolerance required.
The Salter 7145 mechanical dial scales are ideal for this type of application as being a mechanical scale, they don’t need a power source or batteries that always need replacing during critical periods. The large dial is easy to read with different weighing ranges displayed; 150kg x 500g, 23st 7lb x 1lb, and 330lb x 1lb.
The Salter 7145 mechanical dial scale is very compact and utilises a metal weighing platform for strength and durability and carry a manufacturers warranty of 10 years.
