Accuweigh’s Newcastle branch recently supplied a set of precision scales to Nature’s Selection Tuggerah plant in NSW for weighing small amounts of food additives.
To achieve the required high accuracy in weighing the food fortification powders, a set of AND precision scales were installed. With a weighing capacity of 4,000g by 0.1g increments and the ability to accurately weigh both very minute and large volumes of food additives; AND’s EK-4100i precision scales were ideal for this application.
AND’s precision scales are fully trade approved and replaced a faulty set of balance scales that was no longer suited for the high accuracy needs of this weighing application. For increased OH&S compliance, a remote display was connected to the serial port of the precision scales and mounted at eye level. This optional accessory eliminates operator neck strain caused by the need to continually look down at the display on the precision scales to see the weight readings.
