Portable axle weighers are being used by an Indonesian transport company for weighing shipping container trailers.
Supplied by Accuweigh’s Perth branch, the portable axle weighers are used to ensure the trailers are not overloaded when transporting the heavy shipping containers.
The portable axle weighers were supplied with a pre-calibrated digital weight indicator and printer in a self contained carry case which also containers the batteries to enable portable operation. Each low profile Portable Axle Weigher measures 900mm by 500mm, is constructed in cast aluminium and has a weighing capacity of 10,000kg.
The Portable Axle Weighers are positioned to suit the various axle configurations of the trailers used at the transport depot. The Portable Axle Weighers are relocated to different locations at the depot to allow axle weights to be checked with minimal interruption to normal container movements.
