Two sets of overhead track scales (OHT scales) were recently installed for Asian Pacific Exports in Brisbane’s Morningside.
The overhead track scales are trade approved and used for weighing both incoming and outgoing pig carcasses passing through the client’s food storage facility.
Both overhead track scales were supplied and installed by Accuweigh’s QWM branch in Brisbane’s north with the model OHT-600 manufactured in Australia by A&D Mercury. Both sets of OHT scales were incorporated into existing meat rails fitted throughout the plant and are capable of weighing up to 600kg of product.
Two A&D MCP printers were also supplied to meet the client’s request for printing capabilities for recording time/date/weight for stock control purposes. A&D 4407 waterproof digital weight indicators in stainless steel housings generate the weight readings of the overhead track scales and transmit this data to the printers.
As both overhead track scales are in washdown areas, the connected printers were mounted inside waterproof control boxes with two large external lights clearly visible to the operator. A green light on the printer box signals that the system is ready to weigh and an orange light indicates the current weight is being recorded & printed automatically.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company with branches in all mainland states providing sales and service support on all weighing, filling, packaging and food inspection equipment.
