Load Cell Weighing Systems were recently fitted to two existing hoppers at Boral’s Port Melbourne plant in Victoria. Supplied by Accuweigh’s Springvale branch in Melbourne, the Load Cell Weighing Systems help automate the manufacture of Boral’s plaster products.
Each Load Cell
Weighing System comprises four industrial load cells of ten tonnes capacity each
and fitted with integral overload and uplift restraints to stabilise the
hoppers in strong winds. Accuweigh’s AccuPoint Load Cells feature full stainless
steel construction and are suitable for wash down applications due to their IP68
rating.
Each Load Cell
Weighing System is connected to an Accuweigh IT1000 digital weight indicator
using a stainless steel housing that is waterproof with an IP67 rating.
Supplied with a universal mounting bracket, the IT1000 can be mounted in either
a desk or wall mount applications.
One of the Load Cell
Weighing Systems was fitted to a large mixing hopper with the other fitted to a
kettle hopper. To allow the Weighing Systems to communicate with the client’s
host system, analog output cards with 4-20mA current signals were supplied and fitted.
Accuweigh has
extensive industry experience with all types of industrial weighing
applications and provides superior after sales service support through fully
trained staff located in eight branches across mainland states.
