Check Scales were supplies by Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch to Pacific Marine Batteries in Adelaide, South Australia.
The check scales are for grading lead plates used in high quality batteries being manufactured for use in submarines.
Due to slight inconsistencies in the mass of the manufactured lead plates, the check scales are used ensure all plates conform to pre-set weight tolerances for optimum battery performance. For increased operator efficiency, the check scales are fitted with large LED lights to provide a clear indication of UNDER, TARGET and OVER weight readings for each plate without requiring the operator to read the actual weight display.
This check scale is also fitted with a RS-232 serial output card for communicating with a PC to produce records of each check weighing operation.
