Accuweigh’s QWM Branch recently supplied a low profile axle weighbridge to Dubbo City Council to ensure legal axle loading is achieved before the trucks are weighed out over a very busy trade weighbridge.
Pre-weighing trucks on an axle weighbridge to ensure they are legally loaded with maximum weight eliminates delays caused by trucks having to return to the loading area to add or remove product.
The operation of QWM’s axle weighbridge is very simple and only requires the truck to pause momentarily as each axle group enters the axle weighbridge deck for the indicator to automatically capture individual axle group weights. The large digit indicator is easily read by the driver in the truck and displays the weight of each axle and then the total truck weight after the truck has exited the axle weighbridge.
QWM’s axle weighbridge is very low profile using a drop centre design to minimise the height of the weighing decks which allows for shallow angle access ramps for easy truck access.
The industrial load cells used in this heavy duty axle weighbridge are rated at 15t each with a total of four load cells used on each track section. The nominal weighing capacity is 30,000kg using 10kg increments. This axle weighbridge is 4m long x 2.5m wide using ramps 0.9m wide joined by removable struts to allow the axle weighbridge to be relocated with minimal effort.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has branches in all mainland states providing Australia wide coverage for axle weighbridges, scales and industrial weighing equipment.
